After check-in the client scans the QR code on the confirmation screen. It opens a ticket page in the phone's browser. Nothing to install.
What the ticket shows#
- Status, live: Waiting, Your turn, In the chair (with the barber and the time they sat down), Done, Cancelled.
- While waiting: the number, how many are ahead, the estimated wait, the barber and the services.
- Get updates. The client can subscribe to updates by email, SMS or both, as you allow. The contacts left at the kiosk are already filled in and can be edited. After subscribing, the page says where the updates will go.
- Leave the line on a queue ticket, or Cancel appointment on a timed one, until the appointment starts. Both ask for a confirmation.
Open tickets refresh every 15 seconds; finished tickets stop refreshing. A queue ticket from an earlier day shows as expired. A timed booking whose time has passed says "Your time has passed. Please ask at the desk."
Messages to the client#
Queue tickets send these messages, in your shop's language, by email and, where you have SMS and allow it, by SMS:
| When | Message |
|---|---|
| Check-in | The ticket: the number and a link to the ticket page. By email when an email was left; by SMS when "ticket by SMS" is on |
| The barber or services change | Ticket updated |
| The client is next in line | "Your turn is coming up", once, to subscribed clients |
| Your team calls the client | "It is your turn", with the barber's name |
| Removed from the queue | Ticket cancelled |
A client who left no contact still has the ticket on the phone and the number on the TV.
A timed check-in is a normal Barberly appointment: a client who left an email or phone gets your usual booking confirmation and reminders.
Settings that affect the ticket#
Under AppsWalk-in queue and kioskTicket:
- Ticket by SMS on or off. The ticket always goes by email when there is an email.
